Today, March 7, 2020 I woke up with a strong impression from the Lord that was so clear that I did not have to wonder or doubt if it was God and what He wanted me to do. I love it when I get such directions because it makes my actions so much easier to execute without concern for the fallout. You see, it is very easy to do things in the flesh and catch a charge, piss people off or just make a mess of things and know it was your error that caused it, but when you are following God’s direction for you, catching a charge, pissing people off or making a mess of things becomes God’s doing and that changes everything. When it is God that is behind your actions and deeds, it does not matter how people feel about it. God knows what He is doing and he is not subject to the sinful attitudes, rants and tantrums of sinful humans.
So it is extremely important that we Christians learn to not only hear God when He speaks to us, but to act on what He tells us, and do exactly what He tells us to do.
Since there are so many who falsely claimed and are claiming that God has or is speaking to them who are destroying lives and making our lives more difficult, it is extremely important that those who truly do serve God, make sure that they do the will of God without fear of the faces and words of those who reject God and His will, and those who are false prophets using God’s name to promote their own selfish and sinful agendas.
This morning, God spoke to me and instructed me to prepare a message and post it on my Face Book (FB) page and blogs. His message was refreshing to me because it was in line with what I have been posting in my blogs and on FB for the past few years based on what I have read in God’s word and know of God’s character. So I am deeply grateful that I am in sync with God who does not change.
The message is to everyone but mainly to those who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ.
People spend much of their time pursuing either legitimate goals like managing their finances, finding a place to live, correcting their errors or the errors of others that caused problems, making an honest living, or those who are of the baser sort, spend much of their time pursuing evil, unrighteous goals like theft, kidnapping, murder, rape, molestation, substance abuse, lying, sowing discord and a host of other ungodly deeds.
And in the midst of all of this, we believers are called to make a difference by being lights in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation. (Philippians 2:15)
We do not have the luxury of being able to move any way the wind blows, because we are called to be lights to the world. (Matthew. 5:13-15)
We are God’s property and are no longer our own bosses.
(1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 7:22-23)
We were purchased by the precious blood of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:2, 18-19)
Forgetting the above, or failing to take it seriously, has resulted in professing believers becoming carnal and next to useless when it comes to being a witness for Jesus Christ by word and deeds. (Matthew 5:13)
And this state of uselessness as believers has greatly disappointed and in fact angered God, whose amazing patience has allowed so many to continue their poor representation of His will and ways without executing devastating chastisement on them. (Psalms 103:10)
But in spite of God’s great mercy and patience, He has warned us all that there will come a time when chastisement will come. And not only a time of chastisement, but also a time of final judgment when all of our works will be evaluated and rewarded or punished. (Romans 2:5-9, 14:10, 1 Corinthians 5:10)
So what was it that He instructed me to say? He instructed me to remind believers who are poorly representing Him that they are accountable and will be dealt with accordingly.
That we are responsible for our failures to set biblical examples before others with our words and deeds, and we are accountable for those we choose to believe and follow that lead us in the wrong direction, and cause us to believe or think incorrectly.
So many of us rely heavily on deceptive media, friends and family and on bad ministries to tell us what to think and we run with their bad information, and we not only repeat it to others, thereby helping to spread false or unrighteous information, but even worse, some of us will actually defend the lies if we are challenged and fall out with those who sincerely try to correct us. God is not at all pleased with this.
Our goal is supposed to be to stand up for the truth and defend it, not speak against it. (2 Corinthians 13:8) But in order to do this, we must be willing to make the effort to do all we can to make sure we are getting the best and most reliable information before we form our conclusions and certainly before we repeat the matter to influence others with it.
It is a tragedy that so many Christians foolishly rely on talk shows, social media, sitcoms, News outlets and yes, even movies for their truth. And most don’t even bother to investigate the back ground of the person giving the information, to find out what their worldview is or their record of credibility on matters of reporting.
Christians foolishly dedicate themselves to dramas, sitcoms and movies on TV, Cable, the internet and theaters without ever considering who the people are behind the scenes who are writing the scripts and creating the content that they are watching, or what their overall agenda may be in what they are saying through their productions. The X-Men Movies and the Gay agenda is just one of many good examples of why it is so important to have background knowledge.
They don’t bother to check the morals, religion or worldview of their favorite actors/actresses, many of whom are atheists, homosexuals or horrible examples of some form of what they claim to be Christian.
The same is true of the political arena. We are now at a point and have been for very many years where we are forced to settle for the better of many evils rather than choosing from among great men of integrity.
Our knowledge of our American history has been so effectively taken from us by leftist revisionist and greedy, power hungry immoralists that we don’t know our founders or their legacy they left to us. Their history and documents have been substituted by anti-constitutionalist rhetoric, and our public education system has been overrun by Anti-American dogma propagated by many who have little love or respect for America. And that sentiment has been passed on to public schools and college students through the education they are being given.
The knowledge of the biblical heritage upon which our founders strove to establish our nation on as been deceptively stolen from us, replaced with an incorrect version of the founders and the constitution they left us.
The effectiveness with which the deceivers have misinformed many about our history, has resulted in many well-meaning and sincere leaders being convinced of the false view of our founding. Tragically, this has resulted in unnecessary conflict among God-fearing Christians. A conflict that we cannot afford to be engaged in when there are so many evils to combat.
The greed and dishonesty that has characterized our political leadership in this country for many years has given birth to our trillions of dollars deficit, and more will be stolen as other greedy and dishonest politicians gain political power that foolish citizens give them because they don’t have a clue as to how to identify and elect decent, God fearing people to office who actually are trustworthy of such power, money and responsibilities.
Sadly, the Christian church has allowed itself to be robbed of its role in our political process, allowing ungodly men to pass laws forbidding pastors from publicly or privately endorsing a candidate that stands for God’s truth. And being so distracted from the political obligations of the biblical church, Christians have rather become interested mainly in the economy rather than morality in our nation. A morality that if enforced by the people, would resolve all or most of our hate, greed and depravity issues we now suffer on the local, state and national levels.
Good, God fearing people who seriously live their lives for Jesus Christ and who are trying to make a difference in this nation and world, not just by charitable giving and helping, but by standing up for holiness and righteousness, have to compete with the many more false prophets and horrible examples who while wonderfully contributing charitably, are nevertheless committing and supporting those who commit ungodly deeds and say ungodly things. And sadly, many Christians don’t seem to be able to tell the difference between true Christians and those who simply desire to benefit from the title without any true commitment to Jesus Christ that is demonstrated by a holy life.
We are indeed living in the last days; and as more and more people yield to the temptations of contributing to the current madness of hate, misinformation, deception, irrationality, illogic, gender confusion, glorified sexual depravity, pleasure seeking and all other types of ungodliness, God is calling His people to a greater dedication to letting their lights shine before men. (Matthew 5:16)
He is calling us to prove by our lives what is acceptable to Him. (Romans 12:1-2) And to live so that only false accusations can be leveled against us to condemn us. (1 Peter 2:12) He is calling us to endure the temptation to compromise with the world and to stand fast in holiness so that our heavenly reward is sure. (James 1:12) Remember that only the spiritual minded is subject to God, and the carnal mind cannot be.
(Romans 8:7)
Indeed, ideas and worldviews carry with them serious consequences, and we as believers must not allow ourselves to be influenced by or dominated by anything that God is not pleased with.
