I was concerned that homosexual Greg Berlanti being the power behind the drama series, would make it haven for homosexual and pro-homosexual writers, producers and directors to practice their craft.
After a great two episodes, the homosexual influence finally sticks out in the second scene of their third episode "Heavenly Taco Truck", in which two lesbian women, one of which happens to be Miles Finer's Sister Ali, played by Javicia Leslie, discusses their two year relationship and how she is going to break the news to her atheist brother.
In their dialogue, they push the long term committed homosexual relationship angle which is supposed to give legitimacy and credibility to homosexual relationships I suppose.
I was disappointed but not surprised, and as those of you who know me may have guested, I will not be watching the rest of the series on the network any longer, because I do not want to contribute to their ratings. I will also be writing the network to let them know that I object to their incorporating lesbianism into their program about God, and tell them that I will not allow my family to watch it.
The claim of the cast is that the series is not about converting anyone but getting people to talk about their different views without rejecting each other. But that is not a pressing need today. People are already talking about their different views. Only liberal colleges don't allow different views.
But many in the homosexual community can't handle differing views that reject their homosexuality, so they must misrepresent their lives to others and misrepresent others to make their homosexuality seem reasonable. Some even commit suicide because others won't accept their homosexuality.
The truth is that the series is just another tool in the hands of liberal leftists, to change the minds of the morally stable, and glorify a way of seeing God and the homosexual's sexuality that is not biblically sound. It is a propaganda piece to assist with the many other misrepresentations of God, Christianity and the Bible that have come before it.
So the "Pastor" father of Miles and Ali (female), when he is told by his daughter that she has moved in with her girlfriend, he responds by saying to her what the drama's creators think all parents should say to their homosexual children, "whatever makes you happy".
We were not allowed to see her coming out moment with her father that is a more complicate issue I guess. But what we also do not see, is any truly biblical response to homosexuality from the pastor father. But instead, later, when pastor stops by his son Miles's apartment, he tells his son about the people who left his church when they learned that he accepted his daughter's lesbianism. And in a nice way described them as those who could not put people's needs above their religion, and said it was better that they left the church so that people who understood how to love people could come in and take their place. It was the typical accusation of homophobia without using the word.
It is a shamed that the God of this series had nothing to say to the homosexual couple, because you see, they don't need any help. It is the pastor father that needs help.
The truth is that the Bible has much to say about the sinfulness of homosexuality
(Romans 1:18-32), and in spite of the many poor examples of Christian love that many homosexuals have suffered, that does not change the facts about sinfulness of homosexuality.
The Christian community, that is, the real Christian community, needs to wake up on the secular media's dominance by homosexuals. If we do not wake up and start taking back the airwaves from such anti-God activists who seek to destroy the idea of biblical truth in the understanding of the masses, we will eventually find ourselves fighting for our rights to practice our religion in public, we will be pushed into the closet or killed for refusing to compromise our faith.
I have written much on the agenda and tactics of the homosexual activists but it seems like my words fall on deaf ears. But I am in good company, because it seem as if we are living in the last days and many are departing from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils (1 Timothy 4:1).
What concerns me most is that so few Christians are taking the battle to the networks like the homosexuals do, like they did to gain the control that they now enjoy virtually unopposed even by people who have morals and even biblical convictions.
If Christians when after the networks with the same determination and persistence as the homosexual activists groups do, they would be forced to allow a truly Christian presence and representation in their programing. We would see more truly Christian representations in the characters and more sound biblical teaching in the dialogues and storylines.
But most pastors are apparently too busy to incorporate into their ministry agendas a strategy that targets the most powerful instrument ever used to influence people by the masses in the history of humanity.
If you know of any pastors whose ministries are actively monitoring the networks and exposing their harmful programing and providing intelligent responses to their attacks against God, the Bible and Christianity, PLEASE forward their information to us here at NCV so that we can encourage them and thank them.
If I can find a way to view God Friended Me, or any of the other series on TV and cable that are directly opposed to and even actively engaged in attacks against the God of the Bible and our Christian faith, without helping their ratings, I will do my best to monitor them and not only report their deeds against us, but also provide intelligent and biblically sound responses.
